FAMILY PORTRAIT PHOTOS FOR MOTHER'S DAY AND EASTER

Have a look at our latest Portraits Newsletter (CLICK ON THE IMAGE OF THE NEWSLETTER TO ENLARGE). We are doing a special day of portraits in late February. These sessions are excellent value as you get a nice sized complimentary print (10" x 8") included. They are very popular and spaces are limited, so give us a call ASAP.

Special Wedding Offer and a Lovely Testimonial

It is always great when people take the time to write a testimonial like the one shown on our latest Newsletter. (CLICK ON THE NEWSLETTER IMAGE ABOVE TO ENLARGE). It makes our job very worthwhile and enjoyable to know that we have captured those special photos hoped for, all contributing towards the memories of a Bride and Groom's Wedding Day.

Snow around Hazlemere

I couldn't resist going out on early snowy mornings recently to capture the unspoilt fields and scenes around us. I do love my photography and I hope that shows in my weddings, portraits and other things I am involved with. Anyway, just a couple of images - I forgot to take a picture of the huge snowman my family made, which has only very recently melted down to a blob on the grass!

Commercial/Packshot Photography

I am increasingly getting asked to do commercial work for local and large national companies, such as John Lewis, McDonalds (burger chain), The Square etc. If anyone needs any packshots here are a few recent examples.

I also had a fun day photographing the general public outside an Apple MAC retailer - they wanted people photographed on a tropical beach background, dressed in beach hats and grass skirts. They were then encouraged into the store to see how easy it is to put the photos straight onto the MAC to produce albums and generally play with the software.

If it is for general corporate events, advertising, staff training presentation material etc. then give me a call for a competitive quote. Have a look on my Corporate and Events links on the web site.

How enjoyable it is being a Wedding Photographer in Marlow

For wedding photographers Marlow is great, as there are so many lovely Wedding venues and scenic areas. Marlow is dear to my heart as I got married there 5 years' ago. I married Jackie at the Compleat Angler on the river and then went on to Bisham Abbey for our wedding reception. I have a couple getting married at Bisham Abbey this June and are looking forward to returning there to take the photos of their special day. I have also taken photos at the Compleat Angler and done wedding photography at the Crowne Plaza and Court Gardens. Here are some photos taken at one of the Weddings at the Crowne Plaza Hotel:

I went back to the Compleat Angler for New Years' Eve with Jackie to see in 2009. They always have a fireworks display and I took the opportunity to get the next photo. I have had a canvas done and it is on our lounge wall - a lovely reminder of our Wedding. Finally the smaller photos are of our Wedding Day (firstly we had wedding photography at the Compleat Angler and then at Bisham Abbey).

We chose Bisham Abbey because it is very old and atmospheric and has great wooden floors for dancing. We both do "Ceroc" which is like jive. At the time they were filming "Celebrity Fit Club" and had all these candles in the fireplace, which they kindly lit for us, along with the big scales that they weighed people on!):

INTRODUCING OUR FABULOUS NEW ALBUM THAT'S TRADITIONAL WITH A MODERN FEEL

I have just signed up for a new type of Wedding album. Sometimes a bride to be says she likes the reportage 'storybook' albums and the groom to be says he likes the traditional style. I think the new ones, which I will have a sample of shortly, cover both these needs. You can do the odd magazine style full page, along with some gorgeous delicately mounted photos on either black or white background. The photos on the white matts (as they call them) have a delicate black line around them and the photos on the black matts have a delicate white line around them.

They are handmade in Australia and I haven't seen a nicer looking album. The benefit is that you can put several photos on one page if you want. A lot of the traditional albums only have one picture per page.

Anyway, I will be putting a picture and info of this type of album on my Weddings page shortly and, in the meantime, I am putting together a sample this week using some of these photos. This was a particularly lovely Wedding I did in the Summer. Hope you like the pictures!

A Winter Wedding

Katie and Edward got married on a very rainy day in November. We just about managed to get some photos of Edward and his Best Man before the service but we couldn't get many more in the torrential rain. Still, they were very happy with the results and it was all very atmospheric in the church with the beautiful flowers everywhere. The Bride looked lovely in her white dress with a touch of fur. See what you think!

Here are some more pictures from that Winter Wedding!

A new photography venture - photos for internet dating web sites

A new photography venture for late 2008 and early 2009 is images for Internet dating sites. This is proving very popular and it isn't surprising, considering the fact that a professional portrait is far more likely to attract possible partners than a feint, old out-of-date photo. If you are looking through possible matches, there is nothing more off putting than not being able to see that person clearly. Looks aren't everything we know but it is about giving a good first impression if you can.

The package is cheaper than our normal portrait prices, as we do several portraits (booked on an appointment only basis) in one day. If there are a couple of friends (or more) that want to come along together it will work out even cheaper per person. You can change outfits a bit and have a generally fun session so give us a call to find out more.

Ceroc Dancing Event in Oxfordshire

We had a fantastic time photographing the Oxford Ceroc "Spinderella Ball" - there was a good band and really slick cabaret. We didn't need to watch Strictly Come Dancing! Call us if you want us to do your dance event or ball.
